Marianne Stern Interiors’ Philosophy

As we’ve previously mentioned, “Elegant Designs for Living” is more than just a motto – it’s our entire design philosophy, and we design functional rooms for all family members to enjoy.

To make that happen, here are just a few of the things we consider when designing your space:

  • Use: This is the first and most important consideration – how will a space be used? A master bedroom is very different from a living room, which is in turn different from a kitchen or an office.

  • Family Lifestyle: “Family lifestyle” encompasses so much more than the number of people living in the household. “Family lifestyle” cuts to the core of who you are as a family. A family of outdoor adventurers has different needs and desires than a family of tech wizards. And most families have a range of personalities. We design so that a room can be enjoyed by every member of the family.

  • Color and Material Preferences: Colors and materials can affect the mood and flow of a space. By considering personal color preferences, we can find the right materials for virtually any bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen and more.

  • The Market: Here, “the market” refers to knowing what can be found in a store and what we’ll need to custom-make. We can help you shop for furniture pieces, wall coverings, art, rugs and carpets, and much more. And if you’d like something custom – like window treatments, bedding, or even custom paint – we can make it for you.

  • Pulling It All Together: Working with vendors, contractors, and other professionals is a lot to handle, not to mention taking the pieces and colors we’ve selected and creating a beautiful room out of them. But don’t worry. Between our project management services and our design expertise, we have everything under control.
